10 Questions with Vlad Miculici (Rally Driver)

How did it all start for you?

I've always wanted to do this, my dad was a rally-driver in the 70’s, so I guess it’s “inherited”. It was a long road to get to where I am right now, but I’m enjoying every minute of it!

What is the most difficult thing about being a rally driver?

I guess finding the budget; this is the only thing I DON’T like about rallying. But, when you get behind the wheel, you forget about everything.

If you weren’t a rally driver, what would you be doing?

I don’t know, maybe an actor :)!
I don’t really see myself doing anything else. This is all I have ever wanted to do!

What is the best/worst road car you have ever driven?

*The worst car is also my most beloved one; it was a 1977 Dacia 1300, my first car ever, a gift from my grandfather. I loved that car very much, but ... *

What would your ideal sandwich have on it?

Meat and cheese! Any combinations of these two.

What car(s) do you own now and what’s your daily driver?

I own and drive a VW Passat CC.

Favorite car of all time?

If we’re talking about street cars, it must be the Testarossa and maybe the F40. As a rally car, definitely the 1997 Subaru WRC!

Do you have any points on your driver’s license?

Not anymore :)).

RWD, AWD or FWD and why?

It’s hard for me to make a choice. I think AWD .

If you could be someone else for a day (dead or alive) who would you be?

Just me, with some different choices in life :)!
